Current version (Oct 2004): Version 7, with Sensory Analysis charting - Frequency charts and Profiling star graphs - also with HMSO's latest nutritional data, with latest improvements v. 7.2.2
Support note
1: Licence holders installing NutriGraph on a server:
(a) if using a CD sent out before Nov. 03, please go into the CD/Support folder
(View all files) and drag the files vbhookr3.dll and wct32dr3.dll from it into
the same directory as NutriGraph, otherwise NutriGraph will not find them;
(b) all network users will need to give the Nutrigraph folder full permissions
as the program writes to files and creates temporary files;
(c) you may wish to make the share folder for Nutrigraph read/write/create for
everyone but make the program files read permission only and the database
read/write/modify/no delete. You could also delete the manuals (security by
obscurity!). Thus if a pupil or teacher manages to navigate to the shared area,
they're not going to be able to accidentally (or otherwise!) delete anything!
(d) Remember you can use the Admin > Teacher screen facility to set the default
directory for saving work to some other location.
Support note 2: If you find that your new ingredients don't show up on your order list, contact us and we'll send a solution. This applies only to some earlier issues (not v.7).
Support note 3: If upgrading to 6.1.2 causes error message 3447, phone or email us and we'll tell you what to do. This, to our knowledge, has happened only once.
Support note 4: If you find - in adding order lines to the week's orders - that the Add A Line option is missing even though you know you have several order lines already in, please contact us, quoting support note 4. This has occasionally occurred with only one customer - a school where most senior pupils order their food needs through NutriGraph.
Now available (Jan. 2003) - NutriGraph 6.1.2 - incorporating many small enhancements resulting from discussion at recent in-service days eg better labels and comparing one nutrient over a number of foods, as well as exploded sector pie charts.
Now released (August 2002) - NutriGraph6 - with label-help for pupils, and many other extras.
Released at Easter 2002 - NutriGraph55 ("NutriGraph-Five-Five") - with two significant extra features: (a) the use of pupil codes to avoid non-Home-Economics pupils logging in, and (b) a function to take the names from your school register system and add them automatically without the need for you to type them in.
Shipped in Nov. 2001: - NutriGraph54 ("NutriGraph-Five-Four")
- with a large number of unseen code changes to allow easy use of NutriGraph in a network situation for any purchaser of a site licence. It also contained easier routines to allow pupils to save work to their directories for later inclusion in word processed reports.for other Scottish educational resources, try the Scottish Virtual Teachers Centre
